FALL RIVER — Bishop Edgar M. da Cunha, S.D.V., will be the principal celebrant and homilist of the Mass for Christmas to be broadcast on Christmas Day from 7 to 8 a.m. on WLNE-TV, Channel 6. The one-hour televised liturgy is sponsored by the Diocese of Fall River.
The Portuguese Channel will air Christmas Mass in Portuguese at 7 p.m. on Christmas night. Father Marcelo da Silva, I.V.E., parochial vicar of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church in New Bedford, will be celebrant and homilist for the Mass. The Portuguese Channel is carried by most cable systems in the Fall River Diocese.
